The Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) recommends that all citizens travelling outside of Quebec purchase a travel insurance for healthcare received abroad, even if your travel in Canada. It is in your financial interest. The RAMQ only reimburses a small portion of medical fees incurred outside of the province of Quebec, so your savings could quickly run out.
