This section protects you when you cause bodily injury (outside Quebec) and property damage to others. Under the Direct Compensation Agreement, this coverage provides protection for damage to your vehicle when you are not at fault for the accident. This coverage is valid throughout Canada and the United States. Most drivers choose either $1 million or $2 million in coverage on their policy.

This section protects the vehicle by combining collision or upset and comprehensive accident coverage. The deductible will then be the same for all damages that may occur. This coverage is optional. However, if your vehicle is leased or purchased with financing, this coverage may be required.

This section covers you for property damage to your vehicle when you strike or are struck by an object or when your vehicle overturns. This coverage is also optional. However, if your vehicle is leased or purchased with financing, this coverage may be required.

This section covers you for damage to your vehicle other than collision or upset, such as glass breakage, theft, fire, lightning, vandalism, and other specified perils. This coverage is also optional unless required by a lease or finance contract. This coverage is usually taken in combination with collision coverage if the vehicle still has significant value.
